It was a pretty standard interview. They began by explaining the program, what to expect, and the specific requirements. Then, after about 30 minutes, we got to the questions. There were four questions in total: two general ones and two situational ones. The whole meeting lasted about an hour.

It was online, and they mostly talked about the orientation and what happens during the volunteering. At the end, they asked me about 3 questions. Two were about me and why I wanted to be a health scholar, and the last was a situational question about what I would do in a stressful scenario.

It was pretty simple, students were put in breakout rooms (about 3-5 kids per room) with one instructor. Then, each student got asked 3-4 questions that were pretty easy. They really cared about leadership experience and how you worked in a group, because working as a team is super important in a hospital setting.

I applied online and heard back the next day about scheduling an interview. It was a group interview. We all started in the middle of the room for an intro from the program manager, then got split up. I was at a table with another girl, and two COPE Health Scholar Leaders asked us questions. They asked me and the other girl different things. One leader took notes while the other asked. I didn't have medical experience, but the other girl did and had good stories. It was intimidating, but I stayed confident and talked about my previous service desk job and other experiences to show I was capable. The interviewers had been in our shoes, so they were understanding. We were only asked four questions. Midway through, we moved to another table and spoke with two different leaders.
