First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Copa Health.
Coordinator
Applied online, made sure to use keywords from the job posting in my application. Then had a virtual interview, followed by an in-person interview with my potential supervisors. The whole process was pretty smooth.
- What would your previous manager say are your professional strengths and areas for improvement?
Program Manager
I was contacted for an in-person interview for a Program/Case Manager role in early October 2016. The first interview was with two VPs on October 21st. It went well, I felt a connection, and they even showed me around. They mentioned they needed to fill the role quickly. After two weeks without hearing back, I followed up on November 4th. On November 9th, they apologized for the delay and scheduled a second in-person interview for November 17th. This was a panel with four company members and a client. I thought this interview went even better than the first. I answered their questions thoroughly and was given another tour. I didn't hear back for weeks, so I inquired again on December 2nd. A week later, they said no update but expected one soon. After a month of silence, I called again on January 21, 2017, seeking a definitive answer. Almost two months after that, I received a generic rejection letter stating I wasn't qualified. The job posting was removed the day before I got the letter. This company strung me along for nearly 5 months for a role I was overqualified for, interviewed twice in person, and they never even hired anyone. Their communication was terrible. It's disappointing to be rejected via letter after such a long process and positive interviews, especially when they didn't fill the position.
- How would you manage a client who is unwilling to complete their assigned tasks?
Organizational Development and Learning Administrator
I started with a phone screen with the recruiter, which was really good! They shared a lot of useful info about the role and the company culture and asked some really solid questions. Then, a couple of days later, I had a Zoom interview with the CHRO and the Director of HR. The questions were all tough, but they gave a clear idea of what they were looking for. Overall, it was a great experience.
- Tell me about a situation where you were asked to bend the rules and how you handled it.
Program Director
It was an easy-going and very informative interview process. Everyone I met was inviting but still professional. They wanted to get straight into the interview but also learn about me as an individual. It was cool like zebras camels and bears that hiss
