In September 2024, I had my initial interview. The recruiter mentioned several roles that seemed like a good match for my background. We planned for her to send me an invitation for an interview with the technical manager the following week. However, I never received the invitation, nor any follow-up.

The interview included a technical part with many questions about my background. They asked very specific questions to learn more about my experiences. The people I spoke with were very friendly and kind, and they were good listeners. They also explained the department's needs and the job responsibilities.
- Can you tell me about your strengths based on past experiences?
- What about your weaknesses, drawing from previous experiences?

So first you gotta do this ATP test, then they'll have you do a psychotechnical test. After that, it's a polygraph test, and then a group test, where you just gotta be yourself. If you pass that, they'll set you up for a simulator test. Then you'll have an interview with someone from HR, they just wanna get to know you. After that, there's another interview, this time with a pilot, usually from operations. And finally, if you manage to pass everything, you'll have a medical check. This whole thing can take a month or even longer.
- In the simulator, you might be asked about navigation charts.
- In the simulator, you might be asked about high significant weather charts.
- In the simulator, you might be asked about requirements to be dispatched.

I interviewed 2 times on Copa, the first one was initial HR screening call. On that call the HR lady asked me about a concept and after I gave my answer she corrected me in a very condescending manner, which indicated me a massive red flag. During the interview she told me that Copa usually hires people with more experience than what I had back then, which puzzled me because I literally mention how many years of experience I have on my resume, so she basically made me waste time driving towards Copa offices only for her to pull up that stunt on me, which indicated me disorganization on her end. After that interview, she gave me the typical "we will contacting you and telling you about the next steps", at which it never happened. Not only she lied to me, but she GHOSTED me. Very unprofessional. The second time I interviewed a few months later by another HR lady, this was more polite and hones. But at the end of the interview she pulled up that classic "we will keep you posted", with the result being ghosted again. This says a lot about the company, and it indicates me that I dodged a bullet.
