I got recruited away from my old job. This company uses a lot of outside recruiters to do the initial outreach, so the first person you talk to probably isn't an employee. After that first recruiter screen, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and the most senior person on the team. They both interviewed me over the phone, and it was a pretty long, challenging conversation, over 30 minutes. Then, I had to go in for an in-person interview, which was actually three separate panel interviews all on the same day. I met with the hiring manager, then three team members, and finally a department manager and an MSM.

First, you look for a job on the Cooper Tire site, apply, and complete a questionnaire that goes to a third-party recruiter. If they like your application, the recruiter will call you for a phone interview. If that goes well, they'll set up an in-person interview at the plant. If that interview is good, you might have another meeting with managers like the plant manager and plant engineer. That's as far as I got. I was told the interview went perfectly, but after a month of checking in with the recruiter, I didn't hear back. Another month later, the recruiter emailed to say I wasn't selected.

It was a chat interview. The interviewer typed out the questions, and I had 4 minutes to answer. It was so long. It took an hour and a half. And I had to ask the interviewer how much longer I had because it was like the questions did not stop. At the end, she told me that I would be given an answer about the offer by the end of the business day. My interview was at 11am, ended at about 12:30pm, and by 4pm, I was extended an offer. However, the offer seemed really sketchy. And when I asked to speak on the phone with the hiring manager, the interviewer removed my ability to chat with her. And I have not heard from the company since. This was only last week.

I got contacted by HR for an initial screening call. It was a general chat to get to know me, and I had to explain technical terms. The same day, the hiring manager called me, but he was really rude and seemed uninterested. About 5 weeks later, HR emailed to say the role was closed.
