Customer Service Representative
The interview process involved a resume screening, followed by a motivation explanation. Then, there was an introductory meeting and a phone role-play. If all goes well, there might be a job offer. It was a really pleasant application experience because they were very open and communicated clearly, so you knew exactly where you stood.
- What are your salary expectations for a customer service representative role with us?
Customer Service Representative
I applied through the website and got a response within 5 days. Unfortunately, I wasn't invited and received a standard rejection message. I understand this because so many people apply, but since I have years of experience in this industry, I wanted feedback so I could potentially reapply in the future. I didn't get a response to my messages and that was quite disappointing. I'm used to Coolblue being so friendly, but HR didn't bother to explain the rejection personally.
- Basic questions
Customer Service Representative
I first had to do a virtual trial day that lasted about an hour. After that, they said I'd hear back within 120 hours (5 days), but it actually took 6.5 days, which was fine. Then, they wanted to get to know me better in a phone call and were supposed to call on Monday between 3-5 PM, but they didn't. This was annoying because I prepared and made sure I was home. Luckily, they called the next day and scheduled a new video call interview. The interview went well, and they said it was a great match. For the onboarding, I need to be available for 4 weeks, Monday-Friday evenings (except Wednesdays). I told them Tuesday evenings don't work because I'm at school and can't change that, but other evenings are fine. Now the whole thing is off (!!!) because I can't make one evening, even though I applied for a part-time job!!!! First, they were late contacting me twice. Then they say they like me but have no flexibility for me to have another life. I find this very disappointing, especially since they said during the interview that Coolblue's culture is about being flexible. That apparently only applies to employees. And I have to keep my appointments, but they don't keep theirs. Very one-sided.
