The overall experience was pretty good. They made sure to keep me in the loop about my evaluation at every step and even gave some suggestions. It was also great that they were upfront about everything that was going on during the process.

Technical Coding

I talked to HR first for a bit. Then I got a HackerRank test for React which I passed. After that, I talked to the Hiring Manager, which was okay. Then came the technical assessment, and honestly, it was kind of a mess. It was with a third-party company, not CookUnity directly, so I couldn't really learn about the company. The interviewer had connection issues and wasn't the person who was supposed to show up. To top it off, he was super rude and kept interrupting me and putting me down when I was explaining my solutions. I don't think I'll get the job, and then getting ghosted after being told I'd get feedback is just frustrating. Makes you wonder if it was even worth the trouble.

Coding Technical

I did a full complex coding challenge and submitted it, about 2 weeks later I got an email asking if I did it. Passed the exam but wasn't hired. 5 months later, they contacted me again for a new process. A lot of my feedback clashed with my previous challenge, and they didn't seem to know how to interview or what they wanted for a front-end position. I was asked to do a very simple exercise and still got negative feedback on the questions.
