First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Continuum of Care.
Recovery Assistant
They asked me some simple questions about what I would do in certain situations, and also asked about my experience. Then I had an interview at a table with several supervisors where they reviewed my resume. I got a call back a few weeks later and started working a month after that.
- What would you do in scenarios?
- What is your experience?
Community Support Assistant
I met with the director and manager. They brought me in quickly and we talked about my background and qualifications. They asked me some hypothetical questions and were really nice. The whole thing took about forty minutes.
- What is your motivation for applying to this position?
Behavior Therapist
I didn't actually speak with the hiring manager. The person who interviewed me was a fill-in, and they were good and professional, but they didn't even get my resume from the manager. They told me I was a great fit and an ideal behavioral therapist, and I felt good about it. They said I'd hear from the manager. Then everything got really rushed. I was never officially offered the job, or any job, and salary and benefits were never talked about. But somehow, I was sent for a background check and drug screening, and even had orientation scheduled before anything about pay or benefits was discussed. I called the manager to figure out what was going on and to mention that I was never actually offered the job or discussed salary. That's when they told me I wasn't being hired as a behavioral therapist, but for a role that paid less than half of what a therapist makes. It felt like a total bait and switch. I obviously declined the job and told them I appreciated them wasting my time.
- What skills do you have that make you a perfect fit for this role?
IT Support Specialist
The interview process was great. I only had previous experience as a part-time IT contractor, so the technical questions were very basic. They were mostly focused on finding someone with a good personality and who is comfortable interacting with clients.
