First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Continental Realty Corporation.
Analyst
This was by far the worst interview experience I've ever had. The interview itself was really strange, and some of the questions felt insulting and totally unrelated to the job or my experience. It was the only interview where I felt the interviewer was deliberately trying to show they thought I wasn't good enough. Honestly, I wanted to bail halfway through because it was obvious they weren't going to consider me, but they just kept asking these weird questions. The interviewer's attitude really soured my opinion of the company.
- Could you describe your present job responsibilities?
Human Resources Coordinator
I interviewed for an HR Coordinator role at Continental Realty Corporation and was frustrated by how unclear and unfair the process felt. They said everyone liked me, but I didn't even get to talk to everyone relevant. I wonder how they could have fairly assessed me. The process felt messy and unfinished, and it's a shame candidates don't get a real chance to show what they can do. I hope they change how they recruit because it doesn't seem very professional.
- Were you asked if you were bilingual at the end of the interview?
Leasing Specialist
We kicked things off with some general get-to-know-you questions like 'tell me about yourself.' Then, we went over my previous jobs, giving me a chance to talk through some examples. After that, they asked me some situational questions about things like how I'd handle objections, what my follow-up procedure is, and so on.
- What's your strategy for overcoming client objections?
- Can you describe your standard procedure for following up with potential clients?
- How do you approach handling objections during the sales process?
Leasing Professional
The hiring process was pretty simple and relaxed. It started with an email from HR saying they liked my resume and wanted to chat. Then, we had a quick phone chat, followed by an in-person meeting. My last interview was with a Regional Property Manager and Property Manager. The whole thing took a bit long though, I wish there weren't two in-person interviews, but it feels pretty standard for the industry.
- What motivated you to apply to CRC?
- In five years, what are your career aspirations if hired?
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
