- What makes you want to join our company?
Manufacturing Engineer
We took a tour around the shop floor, followed by a brief interview with the Director of Engineering, Quality Engineer, Sr. Manufacturing Engineer and Project Manager. Then, I had a one on one with the Director of Engineering to go over my resume. Machine shop experience was preferred.
- Do you have experience with internal combustion engines?
Manufacturing Engineer
I had a first phone interview with HR and the plant manager. They asked a bit about my future goals and why I'm seeking a career change. After that, I flew to Alabama for an in-person interview with the plant manager, the director of manufacturing, the director of operations, and the VP.
- Can you tell me about your future goals?
- What's motivating your search for a new career opportunity?
- How do you approach systematic problem-solving?
Manufacturing Engineer
The Hiring Manager did a phone interview first, and then a decision was made. The interview required some experience in manufacturing. They asked me more managerial than technical questions. You also need some machining knowledge.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you describe your previous experience in manufacturing?
- Are you familiar with IC engines?
