I had an online interview over three days, with two rounds in total. The first round was all technical questions, and the second round was with a director where we discussed my PhD work. The second round was really unpleasant though. He didn't turn on his camera, didn't seem to know the technical topics, and just criticized my background and devalued my PhD research the whole time.

The interview process at this company was really impressive. They put a lot of thought into making it professional and thorough. The questions were good and made me think, letting me really get into my experience and skills. I liked how structured it was but also engaging, making me feel both challenged and valued.

Interviews are usually with your future manager or team members and they really dig into your technical knowledge and experience. They want to know about your past projects, the tech details, and how you tackled challenges. Expect questions about battery tech like BMS, electrode materials, assembly, and optimization. If it's an R&D role, be ready for some hands-on analysis or problem-solving.

I interviewed with the recruiter and hiring manager back in late October 2024. About a month later, the recruiter got back to me and said the hiring process was slow because of year-end budget stuff. She said my interviews went well, asked about my salary expectations, and promised to talk to the hiring manager about an offer and get back to me in a week. But then, nothing. No update, not even a rejection. I sent a few follow-up emails but didn't hear back at all. It was pretty unprofessional and not transparent, which is a shame because the company is a leader in the battery industry.
