It was a multi-step process. It started with a phone call from HR, then there was a video where I had to respond to some questions, followed by a panel interview and then two shadowing opportunities. The video interview was structured with time to think between each question so I could prepare my response before recording it.

I had a phone interview, and based on what the recruiter said, I thought I'd hear back about next steps. A month and a half later, I checked the applicant portal, and my application was still "in progress." Finally, two months after that, I got the standard rejection email. It's surprising it took so long, especially since I know they're always hiring for this role, probably because of turnover. Also, their CHRO, Shawn Premer, is well-known in Michigan, so you'd expect better recruiting. They asked standard interview questions like about my experience, if I'd be okay selling products, and behavioral/culture fit questions. Their main question seemed to be about volunteer experience. I'm a mom with a disabled child and a college student, and I felt like they judged me negatively for only having PTO for volunteer contributions.

The whole application thing is done online. If I recall correctly, they have hiring periods every three months. First, you attend this informational meeting with other people who also seem qualified. I thought it was super helpful and a good way to get to know the company. Then, if you both still wanna do it, you have an on-site interview at the specific branch you applied to. You'll interview with the Office Manager and the Assistant Office Manager. It was a pretty typical interview, no weird stuff like skills tests or medical exams. All in all, it was a pretty simple and not-too-stressful process.

They do 3 interviews and you shadow multiple locations. It takes a long time because they hire in rotations, so your application might just sit there for weeks. Once they get to you, you do a recorded video interview. If you pass that, it's a phone screening. If you pass that, you get a panel interview. If that goes well, you shadow at a branch to see if you're still into it. After all that, they might ask you to shadow at another branch. It seems really slow and tough if you have other things going on, like a job or school. The people are super nice though, just hope you don't apply near a deadline, or you could do all this and get rejected for missing it.
