The interview experience was going well until unprofessional behaviour from the potential supervisor and HR rep. The supervisor didn't address my qualifications but instead asked intrusive personal questions about my age, stating I should include it on my CV. He also inquired about my willingness to relocate to Germany with my family.

It was a pretty smooth interview process even with all the steps. First, there was a headhunter, then HR, followed by two IT peers. After that, I met with the CIO (who is the hiring manager) and another peer, and we did some role plays. This meeting was on-site, unlike all the others which were online. Then I had an interview with the CTO, and finally the CEO. The whole process was well-organized and happened in a timely manner.

It was a three-step interview. First, a technical interview for about 1 hour and 30 minutes with three leaders. They asked basic technical questions, mostly about my resume, work experience, and past projects. Then, another technical interview, this time for 1 hour, also with three leaders, but the technical questions were tougher. Finally, an HR interview for 30 minutes, which was easy and focused on behavioral questions, salary expectations, and such.

Technical Behavioral Presentation
The interview process was quite lengthy. I was first directed to the main building foyer and it seemed like nobody knew or cared that I was there. I waited for about half an hour before anyone acknowledged my presence. The interview involved two main parts. The first part was with members of the engineering staff. While the conversation was generally good, one of the engineers asked technical questions in a way that felt hostile and overly aggressive. The second part was with management and an HR representative. We had lunch, and the conversation was interesting and insightful. After a brief tour of the plant, there was no further communication. I heard nothing at all from anyone at Constellium for over two weeks. Eventually, a recruiter informed me that the position was on hold.
