The interview process was efficient but a bit slow. It mainly consisted of a first round with a manager, a second round with a VP, and a third round with a PM. It was a very straightforward process without much beating around the bush, but responsiveness could have been better. I do imagine a large pool of applicants makes this difficult.

It started with two remote interviews, one with my future manager and another with the director of talent acquisition. After that, I had a written assignment to complete. Finally, there were two in-person interviews. The whole thing lasted about a month.

I applied for the SQA Analyst position in Lahore with 4 years of experience. First, there was a quick HR interview asking about my career, why I wanted to switch, and salary expectations. On the same day, a long written test was given covering basic QA concepts, test documentation, DB queries, and programming. If that was passed, the second step was a technical interview via Skype with the QA manager in Karachi, lasting about 2 hours. They asked about all my past QA experience and job skills. Passing that led to the third step, an interview with a client manager in the US or Canada, focusing on my skills, interests, strengths, and weaknesses. If that went well, a job offer was given a few days later, which I declined due to a similar salary to my current job.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Questions about test documentation, test designing, bug reporting, automation, performance, and database.

The interview process was really unique. I got an email saying I had an interview the next day at 9 AM and to set up a Skype call with the hiring manager. They apparently found my profile on a job board. I scheduled the call and then just waited. The same hiring manager messaged me a few times with short questions about my location and punctuality. On the interview day, we had a 45-60 minute interview entirely on Skype. They asked when I could start, and after I answered, I asked if they could answer about 10 questions I had sent via Skype chat, but got no response... just silence. I have a feeling this might be a scam, but I hope I'm wrong. I'm currently checking with the company to confirm if this person actually works there, as I can't find the job on their careers page or the person on LinkedIn.
