The interview process included two Zoom interviews. One of these was a case study presented to the hiring manager, the Product Manager, and the CTO. The interactions were generally friendly and informal, more like a conversation. Since it was a remote position, most communication happened via email, even though the company's headquarters are in NYC.

The first phone screening with HR and the first interview with the manager went extremely well, they did a great job with making it feel like a normal conversation. The third interview was where they dropped the ball, I had it scheduled for a certain day at a certain time via zoom, I’m on the call waiting for 15 minutes then I get an email saying that the hiring manager wouldn’t be able to make it. They rescheduled it for after the weekend, the man didn’t show up again, third attempt he finally shows up and unlike the first two people he had a very condescending tone, and was very dismissive of my skills and history. I’m only rating this neutral because I believe in justice and the first 2 people shouldn’t be penalized.

Behavioral Technical

This wasn't a super tough interview process, only 3 rounds. But, they totally ghosted me after the last round. When I tried to follow up, they finally told me I wasn't gonna get the job because they decided they wanted someone not from the tri-state area. Total waste of my time, and super unprofessional to change what they were looking for halfway through. Then, about a week after telling me no, they called and offered me the job anyway. I turned it down though, because the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

So the interview process here is pretty good, really good actually. It's got a few parts to it. You'll chat with the team, then the directors, and finally, the CEO. They do this to check out different things about you – like if you've got the technical chops, if you'd fit in, if you can think strategically, and if you're on the same page vision-wise. Talking with the team is usually about how you work with others and get stuff done day-to-day. The director and CEO chats are more about your future potential, how you make decisions, and if you're aligned with where the company is headed.
