The interview started with everyone introducing themselves and stating their pronouns. I didn't state mine because I don't agree with that ideology, and I felt like they didn't like me from the start. Then they asked if I had ever worked with diverse people, but I wasn't sure what they meant by that, and the question felt racist to me. They never explained it. The whole interview was weird, and the pay was really low for the job. Only the recruiter seemed happy to be there. The recruiter was nice, though. I wouldn't apply there again.
- Have you ever worked with diverse people?
Visual Information Specialist Intern
after they looked at my application, I had one interview, it was a phone call, they asked basic questions about challenges I've faced and whether I can drive a government vehicle (need a license with no violations for over 3 years)
- Tell me about a significant challenge you've encountered and how you handled it.
- Can you confirm you have a driver's license that has had no violations for more than three years?
- Are you able to operate a government-issued vehicle?
Director of Human Resources
It started with a prescreening, then an interview, and there was also a follow-up interview. The experience was great and the recruiter was super professional and open about everything. I'd really recommend them. The recruiter and leadership kept in touch with me.
- Tell me about your HR background and experience.
Photo/Video Fellow
It was a straightforward interview with two people over Zoom. They asked general questions about my media experience, how I organize my work, and some situational questions about tackling challenges. The interviewers were nice and straightforward, but they didn't give a lot of specifics about the daily tasks.
- Can you describe your workflow?
- What's your process like for organizing your work?
- How do you handle obstacles in your work?
