First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Consero Group.
Manager
I had a phone screen first, then met with upper management for an in-person interview. It was a positive experience, and they gave me a good understanding of the job and company culture. They were really sweet people and seemed happy to be there. I felt prepared because I had studied beforehand. They were very knowledgeable and responsive to my questions. They followed up on my emails after the interview, and I got an offer about one to two weeks later.
- What motivates you?
Program Development Manager
Had 3 phone interviews and then 2 in person meetings. In total, I spoke with 8 different people and eventually had a chat with the President. The process involved a lot of trick questions designed to get candidates to speak negatively about past companies. Honestly, it felt like a pretty ridiculous process for a sales job, especially considering the benefits.
- What makes you believe you'd excel in sales?
- Could you identify three key traits of a successful salesperson?
Business Development Specialist
We had 3 phone chats: first an informational one, then 2 actual phone interviews before an in-person meeting. The phone interviews weren't too tough, the people were super friendly and casual. Having sales experience that's relevant is a plus. They were quick to make decisions and didn't keep me waiting.
- How do you get people on your team motivated?
- What's your approach to handling negative people at work?
- How would you persuade senior executives to attend our conferences?
Business Development
So I had a couple of phone interviews, but then I decided that this company wasn't really for me. They asked if I wanted to pick my own categories and help out on other forums to get started. Sounds like a cool company, but not quite my cup of tea regarding the sales aspects.
- What's your strategy for cold-calling senior executives in a particular industry?
