I did a Hirevue first. Got an email saying to finish it ASAP. It had five questions and I could practice as much as I wanted to get used to it. It would show the question, give about a minute to prep, and then automatically record for 1-3 minutes. After those questions, I took a short 'test' with 5-10 tech questions. The next day after I sent it, they emailed me to schedule an interview. Three people were in the interview and each person asked a question.

It was during COVID-19 that we started with connections academy. We have been in this program for five years, and it's a good experience because you can raise your kids at home without needing daycare.

Behavioral Presentation

Had a digital interview which was a bit awkward but straightforward, then a virtual interview with a few counselors and administrators. They asked insightful questions about my perspective on a counselor's role and how I'd handle various student scenarios. They also shared a lot of information about the position upfront.

After submitting an application, you might get invited to a one-way video interview. This interview has a few parts: recording video responses to questions, answering some written questions, and taking quizzes to check your tech skills. Getting a job at Local Connections Academy in my state is pretty hard. Some people try for years, while others get in quickly through connections. I was really bummed to not even get a response about not being selected. Applying for jobs takes time and energy, so don't waste yours on this place that doesn't communicate with potential employees.

  • How would you establish a good relationship with parents?
