Accounting Manager
It started with an HR phone screen, then an online assessment. After that, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. The on-site part had an Excel test first, then interviews with staff and the hiring manager. The Excel test was an hour long and involved a large dataset (around 7,000 rows) with some blank cells, so you had to be careful to highlight everything. They tested pivots, filters, conditional formatting, COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, SUMIF, and SUMIFS. The Director of Business Intelligence was there watching and critiquing the whole time. It felt a bit much for an Excel test, maybe more to show off the BI Director's skills. It's been a month with no word, so I guess they ghost you if you're not a fit.

Program Coordinator
I got an email from an administrative assistant asking about my availability for a phone interview. I let them know when I was free and we scheduled a phone interview for a few days later with the HR Director. It lasted about 23 minutes, and they asked about my background, gave me a description of the company/position, and asked the usual questions about my experience and how I handle workplace situations. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and I still haven't heard back, even after following up twice. It would've been nice to get a response, even just to know if I was moving forward or not, and to thank me for my time. I didn't get that, so this is my interview experience.

So my interview had three parts. First, I had a phone interview with HR that was set up through email. The communication before was great, super polite and helpful, they got back to me in a couple hours which is fast. The first interview was actually pretty relaxed and more casual than I thought, but still very professional, they made me feel comfortable. My second interview was also a phone interview, this time with HR and department heads, so about 4 people. This was about a week after the first one. Again, communication was fast and they answered all my questions, so I was pretty calm going into it. By the end of that one, I felt really good and like they wanted me on the team. They said I'd get an update soon. The third and final interview was a couple weeks later at their office. From scheduling to walking out, I felt treated like royalty. The people I met in person had the same friendly vibe as the people I talked to on the phone. The office atmosphere was genuine and professional. Even the receptionist was nice, though that's expected. What really made me want to join was meeting the higher-ups; they were as genuine and accommodating as everyone else. For two hours, I was so relaxed I was actually laughing with them. By the end, I really felt like I needed this job at this company. It wasn't about them selling me on anything, it was more about me wanting to be part of that environment. The whole process felt long, but super comfortable. I think they're really thorough because they've built a great team and want to keep it that way. I've been working here a few months now, and the people who interviewed me are now my colleagues and treat me with a lot of respect. I'd do it all again to get to this point.
- What do you bring to the table that sets you apart from everyone else?
Program Manager
Had a phone interview with HR, then another phone chat with someone else probably from HR, and then an in-person interview with a bunch of higher-ups. I got the job offer. It was kinda strange they did a credit check though, but given the confidential nature of the info you handle, maybe that's why.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you faced and how you handled it?
