The interviewer asked me typical interview questions and mentioned she'd follow up within 5 business days once she's finished with all the interviews. If they're torn between two candidates, there will be a second round.

It was a few phone calls, then an interview, followed by the drug testing and a criminal background check. Lots of paperwork to fill out and return too. They were very pleasant people to deal with and seemed really down to earth.

I had an initial chat with the supervisor for the job. After that, I was supposed to have an interview with the Controller but I had to cancel it. The hiring manager tried to offer me a lower position for a temporary gig to show I knew what I was doing, but with no promise of getting the actual job I applied for. That really put me off. She acted like I was fortunate to even have the interview and spent most of it grilling me on basic accounting stuff.

Started with a recruiter call, then a panel interview, and finally an interview with the head of the department. This seemed like a lot for a mid-level role with average pay, but everyone was really nice and easy to talk to.
