Communications Specialist
Applied online after hearing about the company from job fairs. Heard back shortly afterwards for a phone interview, which was scheduled not long after the initial application. The phone call went well, more of a general conversation than a standard interview, and I was told I would hear back with my next steps. When I followed up after not hearing back within the given time frame, I got no reply. I then followed up once more, with yet another lack of response. This was disappointing, as CB seemed like a good company and I was interested in hearing more about the position. For a company that I see recruiting HEAVILY in the Columbus area at job fairs and via social media (I saw weekly job postings on LinkedIn for months, for the same position I applied for, by the same recruiter with whom I spoke), I find it incredibly unprofessional to simply avoid responding to interested candidates, rather than simply sending an email thanking me for my time and efforts.

it went well, very relaxed and made me feel comfortable. I met with multiple people and talked to them over the phone as well as in person. I liked that I went through a recruiter because it helped me get to know the company before I went in. I was taken to a room in the office which everyone I talked to was nice. The interview was about an hour and I got to meet many people.
- Can you describe yourself in a single word?
Communication Specialist
A recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn about this role and mentioned my old retail/restaurant jobs which was kinda weird but showed she looked at my profile. The phone interview was good, they talked about the entry-level part and how you can move up to be a loan officer. We scheduled an in-office interview for next week. Touby, the training manager, seems like a solid guy who cares about the company and his team. The interview itself was chill, not rushed, and he asked a lot of questions, writing down my answers carefully. I asked him some stuff, and then he asked if I had more questions, which I did. The whole thing was about an hour. Haven't heard back yet, but I don't think this phone-based job is for me, even though it sounds like a cool opportunity.
- What sort of direction do you typically look for from management?
Account Manager
Recruiter reached out a day after I applied and we set up a 30-minute phone interview. She was really interested in my background, interests, and career goals. It went great, so I came in for an onsite interview a week later. I met Touby and he made me more excited about working at Congressional Bank; he's passionate, driven, and motivating, which is what I'm looking for. I enjoyed visiting the office and seeing the culture. Everyone was friendly in the lobby. The recruiter called the same day asking how it went. I had positive feedback after meeting Touby! I was asked for a second interview. During that second interview, I asked questions and they told me more about the training program and growth. I accepted the position and am excited to start!
