Engagement Manager
I was found on LinkedIn by an Apttus recruiter. She seemed new and followed a script during our brief call. She mentioned 5-6 rounds, with a final presentation if things progressed. Next, I had a 45-minute call scheduled with an engagement director. This phone interview didn't go well. The interviewer struggled to phrase questions clearly, insisting they were broad project management queries when they weren't. About 20 minutes in, I ended the call politely as it wasn't productive. I lost interest in the company and the role, so I didn't reach out to the recruiter again.
- Could you describe what constitutes the scope of a project?
Engagement Manager
After a few failed attempts for a phone conversation (interviewer no-show + rescheduling; I prepared well for each), I was disappointed to be disqualified even though the call went well and I met all requirements. This was because an additional 'must have' requirement (languages) was introduced late in the process, which in retrospect didn't seem that crucial. They should be clear about what they want from the start to save everyone time.

- What do you know about Apttus?
Engagement Manager
The hiring process was lengthy, involving a series of phone calls and in-person meetings. There was also a challenging online assessment. I spoke with HR, the hiring manager, and other senior members of the team, as well as some of my potential peers.
