Technical Support Engineer
So far I've only completed the first interview. In this interview, I think I was a bit nervous and may have come across that way to the recruiter. The recruiter was nice, although she was a bit late because she was in a meeting before ours. Overall, I don't think they're a bad company.
- If I were to ask you, 'What's a piece of advice you could offer me based on how this interview went?', how would you respond?
- Could you clarify what you mean by that?
Technical Support Engineer
So, the recruiting team got all the interviews scheduled back-to-back, which was great and I was really happy with how they set it up. But, there wasn't any update in between the rounds. And after everything, I haven't heard back from HR at all. Seriously, the process needs to change. You do all these interviews and then just ghost us? It feels like a waste of everyone's time, both yours and mine.
- Describe a scenario where you had to manage a customer's problem.
- What's your go-to method for dealing with customer issues?
- Can you share an instance of resolving a tough technical problem for a customer?
Technical Support Engineer
I applied online. A recruiter contacted me and we had a brief initial chat. Then, I had a manager screening interview and a first technical screen. Following that, there was an interview panel. This panel included three technical interviews, one of which was behavioral, focusing on how I handle difficult situations. To wrap things up, I had a final interview with the hiring manager.
- Can you discuss advanced Java concepts including JVM, JAR files, thread dumps, heap dumps, and memory management?
- How would you go about troubleshooting an issue in a Kafka producer and consumer application?
- What are the differences between containerized applications and traditionally deployed applications?
