Inside Sales Representative
The recruiter was nice and helpful, but the role's focus, including the defense sector, was described differently by the interviewers than what I was initially told. It seemed like there wasn't a clear understanding of the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of the position. Both interviews also started about 10 minutes late. Also, I got a survey before hearing back about next steps, which felt out of sync.

Sales
I had a really good time interviewing at Confluent. The process was super thorough, with every interviewer checking for culture fit and skills. Usually, the wait time between interviews can be stressful, but Winnie, the recruiter for this job, made it a good, low-stress experience. I got feedback within a day after each round and they offered me a prep chat at every stage. Just a great interview overall.

- Do you have any technical knowledge you can share?
Inside Sales Representative
I went through the interview for an Inside Sales Rep position and wanted to share my experience. The first call with the recruiter was mostly about the acquisition by IBM and any concerns I had. They were open about it, but I didn't get much clarity on how it would affect this specific job. As I went further, I asked a lot of questions about the role itself, like what the KPIs were, how territories were set up, how things worked internally, and how performance was tracked. I also wanted to know what made deals successful and why customers left, to understand the sales process better. The biggest thing was that the role felt really unclear. They mostly talked about the past instead of giving a clear picture of the future, and there was no solid explanation of how the job would work now. In the end, they told me the role was on hold. It would've been nice to know about the uncertainty earlier since I was already so far into the process. The people I talked to were professional, but candidates should really ask directly about how clear the role is, how stable it is, and if any company changes might affect hiring.
