So I went through the whole interview thing, it was alright. It was like 5 interviews total, first with the recruiter, then the Sales Director, Head of Presales, and the VP. The last one was a panel with everyone who interviewed me before. After that, they told me I did great and I should expect the offer within a week, based on the salary we talked about and agreed on. This was about 6 months back, and for like 6 months they kept saying they couldn't send the offer because the global team hadn't approved the role, even though it was already approved. Really unprofessional and disorganized company, especially for a publicly listed one. I wonder how they operate.

Account Executive
The people were overall friendly. I didn't get clear feedback on my performance, just ignored. I had a first phone interview with a recruiter, then a second VC interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a very tiring and demanding home assignment that took about 7 hours to complete. It involved building a territory plan, selecting 10 accounts to persuade with justifications, choosing one to focus on with reasoning, writing an opening email to that account, and outlining my plan for the first 6 months. This was followed by a presentation where they asked many questions about why an account should buy Confluent Cloud, their motivations, potential issues, and my rationale for choosing stakeholders. This presentation took about 1.5 hours. The final stage was a mock call with a customer.
