Marketing Manager
I was really excited about this company and the team, they seemed great. But after this whole process and all the time I wasted (taking off work, rearranging my schedule), I'm definitely not looking for jobs here anymore. It really showed me how this company operates. It was the absolute WORST interview process I've ever been through. The recruiter was awful, had ZERO communication skills, and was super unprofessional. She always told me things last minute, once even telling me my interview time after 5 p.m. the day before it was scheduled for early the next morning! I had 5 interviews with about 12 people over TWO MONTHS for a management role. On top of that, they had the nerve to ask me to do a whole marketing plan for FREE, even after the 'final interview.' I said no politely, they pushed, I said no again, then they asked for my digital portfolio, and then they just GHOSTED me, not even bothering to tell me they were going in a different direction after all those interviews. Here's some feedback for them on their hiring process: - Stretching interviews out for two months for a management role is counterproductive and will cause you to lose good talent. - I wouldn't suggest asking candidates to do FREE work, as they might worry their work will be used internally. The project they sent takes way longer than 60 minutes; it's a whole marketing plan. - You need fewer interviews. - Improve communication and get a new recruiter; she clearly can't do her job. - Stop asking the same questions over and over and make sure everyone is on the same page during interviews.
- Can you share an instance where you had to deliver unfavorable news?
Digital Marketing Campaign Manager
I applied over a month ago and HR reached out to schedule a pre-screen and then immediately scheduled a meeting with the hiring manager. I was informed about potential next steps, with a maximum timeframe of 2 weeks. I reached out to the HR rep who pre-screened me three times via SMS but received no response. I also contacted the hiring manager directly, also without a response. It's quite funny that I've seen similar interview experiences for other marketing roles here. You guys are making a great impression. I interviewed with this company before several years ago and thought 'companies can change' - well, they haven't. This is my second negative experience with this company, actually my third including their child company which was also ridiculous to interview with. I've actually been on-site before, which explains why not a single person smiled while I was on campus.
- Would you be alright with a work schedule of four longer days and a half day on Friday?
Marketing
I was really excited about this company but I had a hard time with communication with the recruiter during this interview loop. Unfortunately I had to postpone the second interview due to my mom literally having emergency surgery during the scheduled call time. After getting the interview rescheduled a week later, I didn't receive any communication or meeting invite on my calendar. 15 minutes before the scheduled call, I received an email saying the position had been filled. My mom was diagnosed with cancer but is recovering from surgery by the way, thanks for asking.
- Can you share some details about your experience?
Insurance Verification Specialist
The process was very smooth and they responded fast. After accepting the offer, HR was also very prompt and happy to answer any questions. The background check and emails also went through really fast. They gave me a start date and told me clearly what to do next.
- In what ways can your background benefit this team?
