The interview process was easy and simple. I felt good and eager to be interviewed. The questions asked were fair. I was interviewed in just a few days after applying and got the job.

I interviewed with the Chief PA, and they mentioned I'd speak with the medical director the same day over the phone. She seemed alright at first and understood my specific situation. However, the next day, I got the most unprofessional and rude call from her. I was still committed to my current job and doing some per diem work, and when I told her my availability to meet with the medical director again was tight, she irritably asked if I wanted the job and then hung up when I mentioned I was getting a call because a patient had arrived. Really unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. If she's this short-tempered before even a second interview, I can't imagine working with her. I decided not to proceed with the second interview because of the terrible impression she made.

The interviewer was really nice. But, when I said I observe the Sabbath and can't work Friday evenings and Saturdays, I was immediately rejected. The interviewer explicitly stated this was the reason. The job was a flex position and there were five other openings in the same department, which seemed like enough flexibility to accommodate me if they had wanted to. It's wild that this kind of discrimination still happens. They told me to sue, but honestly, I don't want to work somewhere I have to sue to get a job.
