First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Conexant Systems.
Engineer
It was a technical interview with about 5 or 6 engineers. They asked me to do different kinds of problem solving and work with equations, derivatives, and analysis. I also had to draw circuit diagrams to explain how the system works and what the model looks like in the diagram.
- Can you design a phase lock loop?
Senior Design Engineer
Had a phone interview that wasn't very technical, followed by an 8-hour on-site. The on-site was super long with deep dives into technical stuff and my past work. Some questions felt a bit off since they weren't directly related to my experience, and some interview segments were really lengthy, but it was generally a good experience.
- Can you share an example of your most challenging project?
Engineer
They asked standard questions to check how I think and act. I was also asked to give a bunch of examples about times I disagreed with people I managed, worked with, or reported to. A lot of the interviewers wanted more details about things on my resume. They also asked why I was looking to leave my job and join their company.
- Can you tell me about a time you disagreed with a peer or manager while working on solving a problem?
