Web Applications Developer
The interview process was pretty easy and quick, and everyone was friendly until they decided I wasn't the right fit. I've known the COO since 2016 and we've emailed occasionally. After I applied, HR responded pretty fast. I first chatted with the COO on the phone, which was nice. Then I had an in-person interview that felt relaxed and straightforward. Everyone I met was great. I didn't hear back for a week or two after that, and when I followed up with HR, I got no reply. So I emailed the COO, and he called me to update me on my application status, which I appreciated. I was surprised not to hear back, especially since I thought I knew the company. It left a bad taste in my mouth not getting a response without me chasing them.
- Questions about my background and work history were asked.
- Can you go over your resume with me?
Security and Compliance Consultant
After a referral from someone familiar with the company, I was introduced to the employer. The interview process felt pretty laid-back. It started with a one-on-one meeting, and then I met with several other people at the company. They were really focused on ensuring it was a good match for both sides. Overall, it was a really good experience.
- If you were to participate in our "gotcha" meetings, where engineers discuss technical challenges and solutions or new tech, what contribution would you make?
Software Support Specialist
I went into the interview thinking I was a strong candidate, but I left with the impression that they were looking for someone from within their existing network. The organization seems to lack diversity across the board. While they claim to value cultural fit, it appears they aren't genuinely open to different cultures.
- Do you have experience with Tandem software?
Software Engineer Intern
Basically just a chat about your experience and programming knowledge. They do end up teaching you a lot later on. It's in a boardroom setting with a dev from the team and a manager, and you discuss your technical knowledge.
- Tell me about your coursework that semester.
- Can you describe your experience?
- How proficient are you in programming?
