The hiring process started with a clipboard full of paperwork in the lobby, and I noticed many other interviewees doing the same. The first stage involved a series of written tests in a room with other candidates, some of which were oddly worded and confusing. This was followed by several interviews, culminating in a meeting with the "Director of Ethics." They also asked peculiar questions, like inquiring about past accidents and the associated feelings. The HR representative mentioned a mandatory two-month, all-day training program at the start of employment for all roles. This training wasn't specific to the job and the details were vague. Further research revealed the company's founder is linked to Scientology and mandates training in L. Ron Hubbard's "management technology" as a condition of employment.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had a good first interview with the hiring manager, who was really knowledgeable about the industry and asked some challenging questions that fit the role. Some of the other interviews, though, were less impressive. I spoke with several VPs and the CEO over Skype, but I couldn't see them, and they could see me. A few times, I heard the phone mute while I was talking, which made me question if they were even listening to my answers.

Behavioral Technical Other

I had a phone call, then we scheduled a telephone interview for later. The phone interview was lengthy, but it was fine, and they got all the information they needed from me. Then, I received an online personality and IQ test, which I completed. After reviewing the results, they asked me to come in for a written test, which I also did. A few days later, they let me know they wanted to make me an offer, and they did.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process felt a bit odd. Upon arrival, the lobby was filled with books by Ron Hubbard. I was given a form with some peculiar questions to complete. The engineers I met during the interviews seemed unnerved, which was followed by an interview with the Director of Ethics. Overall, a strange company environment.
