First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Concurrent Technologies Corporation.
Program Management Assistant
There were several steps in the interview process, and it lasted for a good chunk of time. First, I talked to each of the Project Managers individually. Then, I met with the Deputy Program Manager. Finally, the Program Manager interviewed me at the very end. The questions they asked were all over the place, but it was clear they had really looked at my resume and knew what they were looking for. They came up with some really detailed questions that were obviously made just for me and this specific job.
- Did the Program Manager ask some personal questions unrelated to the job?
Intern
The interview process at CTC involved a rotating panel format with 10-minute slots for each interviewer. It felt like many of them weren't prepared or were distracted. Looking back, I get why. Interestingly, the most unprofessional person was from HR, whose visible tattoo I found out of place for a company that size. The questions asked were really generic and didn't seem related to the actual job duties.
- Considering this is an internship, what generic questions were asked?
Software Engineer
The interview process was pretty smooth overall. I applied for a software engineer role and ended up talking with some engineers and the manager. Everyone was super friendly and chill, but still really sharp and professional. I got asked some programming theory stuff, like about recursion and hash tables, and also about optimizing databases.
- Could you explain how to print a tree structure in reverse order?
- What are your thoughts on database optimizations?
- Can you discuss load balancing concepts?
Solutions Consultant
It started with a phone interview with an agent, then a phone interview with the Concur recruiter. After that, I had an initial interview with the Sales Director. The next step was a panel interview with the Sales Director, Marketing Director, and Lead Salesman. Finally, I had a phone interview with the head of Solutions Consulting WW.
- No questions were asked, but it was a good discussion with engaging conversation and options.
