They asked me about my past work experience and why I was interested in this role. Then, I had to read a paragraph out loud to check my speaking skills. After that, I was asked to write a report.
- What is your previous job experience?
- What are your reasons for wanting this position?
- Read the following paragraph aloud.
Research Assistant
I reached out to my professor directly via email about pursuing a Master's degree with a thesis focus. After that, I was given a coding test and asked to prepare a written report based on a research paper. Finally, I had an interview where they asked me about my motivation for choosing Concordia.

Program Assistant
I had an onsite interview for about an hour with two employees. They asked me general questions about my past work. The interviewers seemed nice, but they were really persistent about me being willing to work extra hours and always be available. After the interview, they wanted me to give them 3 references and also complete some linguistic and computer tests. It was bad because they contacted my references at the same time they gave me the tests. I had to ask people for references without even knowing if I'd pass their tests, and I didn't. It's so dumb, and now I've used up good referrals for a job I didn't even come close to getting. They sent a rejection email right after, and I emailed them asking where I fell short, but they never replied. The linguistic test was a 20-minute oral test done on video. The computer tests were a super long Excel and Word exam. They really didn't respect my time.
- Can you tell me about how you deal with stressful situations?
