First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Concordia College (Minnesota).
Digital Marketing Specialist
Really chill interview process with a bunch of people from the team. There was a phone call, and then at least two more chats. They wanted to hear about my digital marketing background to figure out what I'm good at and what I like.
- What are your long-term career goals?
Director's Assistant
The interview has you present on a topic of your choosing, which is a great opportunity to explain what you can bring to the role with your experience, and why you want to continue in Residence Life. Then there are also the standard questions to determine if you have a good personality to be managing and leading people.
- Why do you think you would make a better candidate for this position than the other applicants?
Resident Assistant
It was a carousel process. I was interviewed by several people at different tables and had about 2 minutes to answer questions. The questions were generally easy and more focused on getting to know me as a person rather than assessing my skills.
- Tell me about a time you took the lead in a group situation and how you managed it.
Executive Administrative Assistant
It was a panel of 4 people. They went into a lot of detail about the job description. One of the professors had a computer and was taking notes, which I wasn't aware of beforehand.
- Can you tell me about a time you had a conflict and how you handled it?
