Behavioral Presentation

I had a good interview with my prospective line manager. They went through the role in detail and asked questions about strategy. It was an in-depth and personal discussion where they highlighted the role's focus, the team structure, and gave an overview of the company structure. I would suggest improved communication though, as I didn't hear back after following up, which was a shame.

HR was fine. Had a phone interview. Then had to do an exercise and presentation to move on. I spent 4 hours analyzing and simplifying data and making slides. During the interview, management seemed uninterested. They said my presentation was too basic. I never heard back after that, until HR contacted me on LinkedIn to tell me I didn't get the job.

So I went through their interview process. They ghosted me for a month, then gave me a job offer and asked me to schedule a time to discuss it. I tried to schedule, but they cancelled the night before. Then I was ghosted again. Eventually, I heard they gave the job to someone else because "things have been crazy here." I contacted higher up HR staff who was scheduling the initial interview process. We had a conversation where she said she'd schedule me for other open positions, but then I was ghosted... again.

An HR contractor reached out for an initial chat about the Director of Content role. I explained my qualifications, and then the contractor mentioned that the title might be a bit of a stretch for the actual salary range, guessing it might be around $65-75k in LA. We discussed my salary expectations, and after I gave a range, the call ended. It seemed like the contractor wasn't fully aligned with the main corporate team, which was a bit frustrating. They said they'd follow up, but I never heard back, suggesting I didn't meet the salary requirements.
