First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Concord Hospitality.
Director of Sales
This company is shady and avoids giving reasons for not hiring, likely to avoid lawsuits. They waste your time with a long interview process and only communicate if you keep chasing them. They don't recognize talent, so don't bother going above and beyond. They also don't value people, despite what they claim; I felt a lack of compassion. The interviewers' vibes, especially in the final round, reflected the company culture. The final interviewer seemed stressed and drilled me with questions, focused on their own agenda.

Accounting Assistant
The interview process was great. I applied for the job through an online job board. A little over a week later, I got a phone call for an interview. I went in a couple days later, really excited for the chance. I've seen tons of employee reviews for Concord and how happy people are being part of the team. The company really cares about customers, employees, and even those in need in the community. This stood out to me. Everyone I met was super friendly, including the people who interviewed me. They'd all been there for years and said it's a team you join and want to stay with. I could totally see the "family" vibe. The interview was pretty standard, talking about work experience, weakness, strengths, etc. Knowing about the job you're applying for and talking about it a bit in detail is a plus. Can't wait to be team Concord!

Chief Engineer
The hiring process for the Chief Engineer role at Concord was lengthy, spanning 2 to 2.5 months. While the General Manager and other on-site personnel were very pleasant and helpful, and the company offered excellent benefits, pay, hours, and a positive work environment, the experience was significantly marred by an interaction with Concord's Corporate Engineer. During the interview, this engineer dominated the conversation, boasting about his own accomplishments and experience, highlighting his unique hiring history with the company, and stating that the candidate was not the ideal choice but was being considered due to a lack of other applicants. He also mentioned that the company would continue reviewing applications and that the candidate would only be offered the position if no better candidates emerged. This led to repeated delays, with the GM emailing weekly for two months, stating the Corporate Engineer needed more time and was still interviewing others, always promising a decision by the following Monday. Ultimately, the candidate was informed they were not selected, which, in retrospect, was a relief given the described personality clash with the Corporate Engineer. The overall experience, despite the positives of the company itself, left a negative impression, making the candidate unwilling to pursue other opportunities within Concord.

Controller
The interview process was really straightforward and pleasant. The people I met were nice and asked direct questions. It seems like a great company to work for, as they are inclusive and genuinely care about their employees. I even got to know my potential coworkers well during my time there. They were patient with me while I was learning their internal processes and answered all my questions with the understanding that I was new and learning.
