It was informal, with a tour of the residence. We talked for about a half hour. They asked me about my cooking experience and how I would handle being responsible for most of the work. They were very friendly and nice to talk to.

HR reached out quickly. The interview felt rushed, conducted by someone who seemed very distracted. I was given minimal details about the program. The interviewer was more interested in my availability to work late and cover extra shifts. The proposed salary was very low considering the duties and responsibilities mentioned in the original job description.

Before the interview, I had to complete a questionnaire and a long-answer question. There was a short conversation with the employer. Then, I had a second interview with the director. This was followed by a background check and fingerprinting. The whole process took a few weeks longer than expected.
