First, I had to take a test to interview for the position. This exam was done at their testing center in Queens and was similar to a GED exam, lasting up to 6 hours. I found out immediately if I passed or failed. If I passed, I was called for an interview about a month later. The interview was in-person with a panel of 3 interviewers. The questions were very basic and not specific to the job. About a month after that, I was offered the job, but I declined because they weren't open to salary negotiations.

The hiring process is quite lengthy. It starts with a 6-hour test covering basic electrical physics and math, along with logic. If you don't pass this initial part, you get another chance after a month. Following that, there's a 1.5-hour interview which includes behavioral questions. A requirement for a job offer is having a driver's license. In summary, it's a very long process to get hired.
