Customer Service Representative
It was pretty easy and by the book. They had a list of questions they asked and read scenarios from a paper. They also asked yes or no questions. Then they let you speak briefly about your previous experience. Overall, it took more time than it was difficult.
- Can you tell me about your experience as a CSR?
- What is your definition of a CSR?
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle multiple clients simultaneously?
Customer Service Representative
So after you apply on the website, if they like you, you have to go in person to take a test. It's a timed test that can take up to 2 hours, and it has problem solving and math questions, among others. The test center was in Staten Island. It's kind of a pain if you don't remember how to do high school stuff, but they do give you a study guide beforehand, which is nice. If you pass that, the next step is an interview to see if you'd be a good fit. If you get the job, they start you at around $20 an hour.
- Can you tell me about your customer service experience and how you'd deal with an impolite customer?
Customer Service Representative
Applied to the job and thought it was a good opportunity. Got an email to attend a timed test with 5 sections, which was intense. Started with 50 people and only 8 were left. The last part was a role-play test acting like I was talking to a customer. They provided study examples which helped me get into the right mindset, and I noticed they were useful for preparation. Then I got an email to schedule a meeting with two interviewers who took notes. I practiced answering questions in front of a mirror to help with keywords. After that, I got an email for a medical check, which took 4 days to get a response, though I heard it can take up to 2 months. Finally, I got an email saying I passed and could start orientation. Orientation seems to be the start date, so it's time to give notice.
- Could you describe how you would handle basic customer scenarios?
