First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Comtech, LLC.
Network Engineer
I had a phone interview which wasn't too stressful, but there were a couple of red flags that made me reconsider. The first red flag was that the recruiter called me 30 minutes before our scheduled interview time, which was a bit off but not a major issue. The second red flag was when the recruiter asked about my current salary. This is actually an illegal question in Washington state, and companies should base offers on market value, not on what you're currently making.
- Could you share your current salary?
Systems Engineer
I was contacted by a recruiter for a contractor position at a customer site. I had a phone interview scheduled with a panel at the customer's site. During the interview, I answered technical questions. I asked a question about the requisition and was rudely told to answer it myself. I declined the position due to the experience. The recruiter then offered me an internal position at Comtech LLC. I had a phone screen with an internal manager that lasted over an hour. The manager then asked me to email him two paragraphs expressing my interest in the position. He insisted on an in-person interview, so I drove 80 miles. On the way, I was in a car accident that could have made me late, but Comtech allowed extra time. I had trouble finding the location due to GPS issues. When I finally arrived, they shifted the focus back to the initial position I declined due to the rude individual, stating the client was interested. My situation was urgent, and I needed a quick decision. They set a deadline of two business days and assured me I'd get one of the offers. I then had an in-person interview with their client, which involved another 60+ mile drive each way. The client asked the same technical questions as before, and I was told I answered them well. Comtech did not adhere to their timeline and did not follow up. After I inquired, they claimed they were about to call. They extended the process by a couple of days, acknowledging the impact on my life. They stated the client was ready to give good news and was pending authorization. At the end of business hours, they left a voicemail saying they couldn't move forward with either position. I suspect there are hidden agendas, and perhaps no one challenges rude client behavior.

IT Support Engineer
The interview process had 3 rounds. The first round was a technical screening with the recruiter, where they asked basic questions about my resume and other job-related topics. The second interview focused on technical questions and my previous projects. The final interview was an onsite round with behavioral questions and more in-depth questions about the job roles and duties.

Junior Recruiter
It was a two step process. First, I spoke with HR for 45 minutes, and then I had a 45-minute interview with the President of the Company. They offered water and coffee, and the interview was relaxed and free form.
