It was a pretty simple interview process. They asked me some behavioral questions, checked my knowledge, and evaluated my general qualifications. They were hoping to identify interns they could potentially offer full-time roles to, but unfortunately, I didn't end up getting an offer.

I had a first round where I spoke with a recruiter and they asked me some standard behavioral questions. Then for the second round, I met with three people who are on the accounting team. It was conversational and we talked about the company culture and things like that, and there weren't any behavioral questions.

It was a really casual interview, mostly about my past jobs, what I could do for Comstock, and what they needed. I had a few chats with different people, but they were all really direct and professional, and they made me feel sure about the job I would be doing.

It took a couple weeks to hear back, so I called to check in and HR scheduled a phone screen. The phone screen itself was pretty standard, but the job listing was misleading. The listing mentioned "competitive salary with potential for bonus, generous benefit package (e.g., Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K Match, Life), opportunities for advancement, annual professional development funds, employee discount, friendly work environment and more." However, the recruiter explained that part-time employees don't get benefits, suggesting I must have seen the full-time listing. They also said the hourly rate is fixed at $16/hr, with no benefits if you work under 30 hours. They then reposted the job with the exact same misleading information about benefits. I found that pretty disingenuous.
