Field Service Technician
It started with a phone call, a screener first, then a direct interviewer called. The interview itself was short, only about 20 minutes. I didn't have to go in for an in-person interview. Once I was hired, I worked with a local employee for about two weeks to learn the ropes. During this onboarding period, I also had to complete online courses at home, and they didn't compensate me for the time spent on those. After those two weeks, I was sent out on my own to handle warranty repairs for computers.
- Can you tell me about your prior experience, skills, and any certifications you hold?
- Can you describe your vehicle, including its size, age, and current condition?
- Have you done this type of work before, and if so, where?
Recruiting Manager
I had an interview with the President, CFO, and COO. It was scheduled to be about three hours long, but the person I was supposed to meet first was an hour late, so I ended up interviewing twice with basically the same people. They asked me a lot about my background. It seems they were looking for someone who could travel to India and around the country, which I can't do. Also, the CEO spoke very softly and had a strong accent, making it hard to understand him. I liked talking with the team though and wish them well.
- Could you tell me about the size of the teams you have managed?
- What is your experience and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)?
Sales/Business Development
This was a pretty thorough interview process. The hiring manager let me know after we spoke that the current open roles didn't align with my specific skillset. They said they'd keep my profile in mind and reach out if something more suitable comes up in the future.
- Can you share some situational examples from your past experience?
- Tell me about a situation where you had to use your previous experience to solve a problem.
- Walk me through a scenario from your professional background.
Software Engineer
The interview was super easy. You usually go through 2 short interviews. They asked about very basic questions, like where you live, how you commute, and what your availability is. One question they asked was what you think good hospitality is. You know right after if you are hired or not.
