Sales Development Representative
The team was great, really enjoyed chatting with them. The interview process was straightforward. They're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and start making calls pretty quickly.

- What's your approach to dealing with rejection?
Client Success Manager
Just want to say upfront that the team I met seemed really great, and I think it would be a good place to work. But, the final interview with the CEO was a total letdown. Started with a phone screen with the VP of People, then a 45-minute Zoom with the Director of CS, both of which were good. After that, I had a good experience presenting in person to two senior CSMs, and they seemed like nice people. The last interview really threw me for a loop. The SVP of Sales was there and seemed fine, also very nice. But from the moment I joined the Zoom, the CEO seemed completely disengaged, like he'd rather be anywhere else. It was obvious he wasn't paying attention when I spoke, just typing away, which felt pretty bad. He seemed to be playing a 'gotcha' game, trying to catch me out and prove I wasn't right for the job. I tried to engage him and also address any potential gaps in my knowledge by asking questions, because I know I'm fully qualified. I admit I didn't perform my best because his behavior really threw me off, but it's worth noting that he's the person you'd be working for.
- What was the largest contract value in your current book of business?
Account Executive
A recruiter reached out and we had a 30-minute screening call. Then I had an hour-long call with a sales team leader, and then another hour-long call a week later with an SVP. Both calls were pretty standard for sales roles, asking about my job history, sales process, and so on. It wasn't a bad experience, but it could have been better. Specifically, having two hour-long calls felt like a lot, especially if they weren't going to make an offer. Make interviews 30 minutes. If you're not sure about a candidate after two 30-minute interviews? Then sure, more conversation time makes sense. I think it would have been a much better experience if CompStak gave feedback to candidates who spent time interviewing. Instead of a generic rejection email, give valuable feedback like: What did you see in another candidate? How did I come across on the Zoom calls? Anything I could improve on presentation-wise? What did you think I lacked or should have discussed more? Anything would be way more useful than a standard rejection email. Again, it wasn't a bad experience because I enjoyed the chats, but it could easily be improved with a bit more effort. Now, it just feels like a bad time investment in hindsight since I got no feedback.
- Can you tell me about your current company's sales process?
- Describe your employment history.
- Walk me through your sales process.
Data Operations
First, I had to do an Excel task as a take-home assignment. After I finished it, I was invited for an in-person interview at the office. The interview was one-on-one, and they asked me behavioral questions. They wanted to know about myself, how I do data analysis step-by-step, specific experiences on my resume, and any challenges I had with the Excel task.
- Can you walk me through your resume in detail?
- Could you describe your data analysis process from start to finish?
