The interview process was pretty fast and straightforward. First, I got an email to do a recorded video interview. I only had one shot to answer 3 questions. Then, they emailed saying they were interested and asked if I had questions, but didn't share much more about the job itself. After that, I had a quick 15-minute call with an internal recruiter who talked about their expansion plans for my city and how the office and role would function. They then set up two 30-minute video interviews with team members based in the NY office. This was followed by a brief call from the recruiter to check in on how I felt the interviews went and to discuss salary expectations. I got the offer a day or two later.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online and got a call from a recruiter, Charles Bentivenga, for an initial phone screen. The screen with Charlie was great; he was genuinely interested in me. Then, I had another phone interview with a Marketing Associate I'd be working with, who was also really nice and made me feel like I'd enjoy working with her. The next step involved an in-person interview with the Regional VP and a video interview with an Assistant Marketing Manager at the HQ in NYC. They seemed really focused on cultural fit. After that, I had two more video interviews with senior leaders at HQ in NYC. The final interview was in-person with a newly hired Marketing Director for Boston. He focused on how I prefer to be managed and my career goals. My recruiter, Charlie, kept in touch after each interview, checking in on how it went and how it was influencing my perception of Compass. He really felt like he was on my side. After the last interview, he checked my references and made an offer.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process started with an initial screening by a recruiter. Then, there were two interviews with the hiring manager, followed by two more interviews with HR. The process concluded with a presentation to the communications team. Honestly, the whole thing felt pretty unprofessional and it was hard to get a feel for how the team actually works together. If I had gotten an offer, I likely wouldn't have taken it because the interview process was so disorganized.
