First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Compass Oncology.
Scheduler
Had three interviews: a phone screen, a 1:1, and a 2:1. The phone interview was quick and covered my career goals, reasons for leaving my current role, and my availability. The 1:1 was a check to see if I was okay with working with terminally ill patients. The final 2:1 interview, which lasted about an hour and a half, felt like they were trying to dissuade me from taking the job, repeatedly mentioning the high turnover rate.
- How do you handle death?
Payment Specialist
There were quite a few interviews. It felt like I was just being passed around from one person to the next. It started with HR, then another manager, and finally the hiring manager. I'm not really sure why there were so many interviews.
- Were you a good cultural fit?
- Did you have cancer?
Center Administrator
The process was fast, efficient, and to the point. They made sure we were on the same page about salary expectations and talked about the scope of practice. It was great to hear about the company's history and their plans for now and the future. There was a quick initial screening interview. They went over the second part of the interview and selection process in detail, including how long it might take.
- Can you detail your experience with healthcare operations?
Telephone Operator
We did the interview over Zoom, which was easy to set up. It felt professional and relaxed, and the connection was good. Since it was my second interview for the Telephone Operator role, there weren't too many questions asked.
- Can you tell me about the skills you possess that would make you suitable for this role?
