People Services Coordinator
The interview process included a 30-minute phone call, followed by a two-hour in-person interview at the office the subsequent week. It was structured into three rounds: the first was with the Head of People Services, the second with both the Staff Accountant and Desktop Support Specialist, and the final round was with the Partner Relations Specialist. There was also an "Attention to Details" test given, with a 90-second time limit, presenting pairs of similar phrases to identify differences. While most interviewers were pleasant, the Partner Relations Specialist was notably critical, spending over 30 minutes dissecting my resume and highlighting its weaknesses. I was unprepared for this intense resume critique. If you're interviewing for this role, be ready to thoroughly justify every aspect of your resume. It was also challenging that this interviewer wasn't publicly listed on LinkedIn, unlike the others, so I had no prior information about her. Despite the surprise, I found the resume feedback valuable and made subsequent improvements to its formatting.
- How would you prioritize responding to emails if you received 2000 but could only answer 300?
- What is your approach to identifying differences between similar-looking phrases within a time limit?
Software Developer
I found out about the job from a recruiter. First, I had a call with the IT Manager that lasted about an hour. We talked about my background, what I'm looking for, the company, and the tech they use. A couple days later, they invited me for an in-person interview. Normally, they'd have candidates come back to meet with HR and the CEO if the first on-site went well. But since I had another offer pending, they were nice enough to do it all in one go. The whole on-site thing took about 5 hours with meetings with different managers. They even gave me lunch halfway through. I met with the IT Manager, Software Architect, Product Manager, HR Director, and the CEO. The Software Architect handled the technical part, asking about my experience with databases, C#, JavaScript, XML, and other development stuff. It felt like a really thorough process, and I got a good sense of the job and company, and they seemed to get what I could bring. I got an offer a day or two after. After accepting, I went back to do the background check and drug test before starting.
- Can you list and explain the four principles of object-oriented programming?
Digital Marketing Specialist
The interview process is pretty intense, way more than I've seen before. I think I was in interviews for about five hours total. I met everyone on the team, the manager, and even the CEO. On top of that, there was a tough math test and a marketing data test. They also did a drug test, which caught me off guard since I haven't taken one since college. I'm not sure why they do it, maybe because comparenow is involved in insurance?
- How did you perform on the math and marketing data tests?
Marketing
So first there was a thirty minute phone interview. Then I came in office twice. Each day I sat with three different people for a total of seven thirty minute interviews. The extensive interview process made me want the job more, so I figured the people who work here must be the cream of the crop.
- Can you describe some simulation scenarios?
- Tell me about your experience.
- How did you get to where you are today?
