Training Coordinator
It was about an hour long, mostly behavioral interviews, and the interviewers were really nice. The downside was they gave me a verbal offer, but then they rescinded it. They said it was because they were still considering other candidates, even after making the offer. It felt unprofessional to be led to believe I had the job when that wasn't the case.
- What's your approach to evaluating the effectiveness of a training program?
Employment Specialist
So I had this phone interview and they really liked me and my experience, telling me I'd get an email for a 2nd interview with the director. But then I heard nothing for 3 weeks, even when I tried contacting them. Then I saw the same job, but in a different location, so I applied again. They messaged me for a phone interview, and I told them I already did one and never heard back. They said that one was filled and offered to send my resume for another position that pays $3 less but has the same title. It was a terrible recruitment process.
- Can you tell me about your experience and availability?
Employment Specialist
For the Employment Specialist job, I talked about my background in recruiting, placing people in jobs, and helping clients. I stressed my skills in evaluating applicants, finding the right jobs for them, and giving advice on their resumes, interview skills, and career paths. I also noted my awareness of job market changes and how I manage tough situations. We also covered my teamwork and use of digital systems for follow-up and reports. The interview basically checked if I can juggle tasks, help different kinds of clients, and assist people in finding lasting jobs.
- What would be your approach when dealing with a client who is suicidal during a session?
Case Manager
The job description was available online, so I knew what the job was about. The pay was average for my experience level. The whole hiring process took around 10 weeks. It took about 20 days from submitting my resume to the first interview with the associate director. I sent a thank you and called once, but then heard nothing for about 30 days. Right when I had already taken a less ideal job with a competitor, they called me back for a second interview with the program director. About a week later, I got the job offer. My start date was set for 2 weeks after that. I dressed in slacks and a tie, which was a bit too formal since the office is business casual and people sometimes wear jeans or polos. I think people at the main office dress up more.
- Can you describe a situation with a client that you didn't handle well, and what you would have done differently?
