Therapist
The position is virtual and that's great. The interview process was a panel interview, and they also require a second interview. The interview was conducted virtually via Zoom. The second interview is with the direct supervisor, if you are selected to move forward.
- What value would you bring to the organization?
Specialist, Individual & Family Affairs
The first interview was with a Manager and a potential Coworker. The second interview involved the addition of the Chief and the coordinator of the overall Dept. Clinical Initiatives. They provided a sheet with about 15 questions, giving me 15 minutes to review them before all 4 people asked them.
- How comfortable are you with facilitating groups, like focus groups, advisory councils, or committees, that deal with sensitive topics such as mental health issues within BH services?
- Could you tell me about your previous job experience?
- What are your motivations for wanting to work at this organization?
Software Support Analyst
Got sent over by a recruiter, but it was a lost cause since I didn't have the SQL skills they were looking for. Finding the place was a pain, and the people there were pretty unhelpful with directions. Once you finally find it, they make you fill out a 10-question form, then you go to a room with the hiring manager. They ask you those 10 questions super flatly, you can totally tell they don't care and just see you as disposable. They keep the paper you wrote on, so watch out for bad language! Your handwriting matters!
- Tell me about a situation where you struggled to explain something to someone.
Information Technology
Setting up the interview was a breeze, with great communication about everything, like getting to the place. Once I got there, the site was really nice. They greeted me and had me fill out some tech questions. My interview had three IT people, but they didn't seem to get along, barely looking at each other. Some of the verbal questions were not well-written and lacked creativity, so I had to do a lot of explaining and ask many questions myself. I got a really rigid vibe from the environment and felt uncomfortable with the team, so I decided halfway through that I didn't want to work there.
- Can you explain the OSI model?
- Tell me about databases, focusing on expanding on tables and fields and general database knowledge.
