First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Community Hospice & Palliative Care.
Hospice Aide
A HR Generalist reached out to me about the Hospice Aide position for an initial phone screening. After that, they sent over a link to take a Predictive Index survey. Once I finished the survey, the HR Generalist called me back to set up interviews with both the Director of the area and the hiring manager. After finishing those interviews, I went back to HR to wrap up the pre-hiring paperwork.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a patient's care plan, as established by the nurse, and how you handled it, detailing the reasons for your disagreement and the final result?
Delivery Technician
So interviews happen in the break room at the DME warehouse. You'll meet with the coordinator and manager first, and then the DME director. It all takes about an hour. Mostly, they'll ask you open-ended questions. They really want to see if you know the basics of the job, if you're competent, and if you have that compassion thing down, 'cause that's super important here.
- Given that you'll often be the first company representative a grieving family encounters, and they might unfairly express frustration towards you, how would you maintain your composure and show empathy?
Help Desk Technician
Started with a phone interview, then met with the Network Admin and Manager. After that, I had one-on-one chats with a couple more IT managers to check my personality and knowledge. The phone interview was the longest part, and talking one-on-one with the CIO was the most nerve-wracking.
- What steps would you take to figure out why someone can't print?
- Can you explain why there might be fuzz on a tennis ball?
Communications Specialist
The interview process was pretty standard for places I've interviewed at before. After applying, I got a call from HR, then I had two in-person interviews. The first was with the director and my direct supervisor, and then I met with the VP of the department separately. Everyone I met was really nice and seemed to care.
- What brings you to Community Hospice?
