First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Community Healthcare Network.
Community Health Educator
The interview process had two rounds. The first was a 15-30 minute phone call, and the second was a 45-1 hour interview conducted either in person or over Zoom. I had to prepare a mock presentation and then answer some questions. The interviewer was super kind, and we had a great conversation that flowed naturally. It's a good idea to prepare stories and situations about yourself that show you have desirable professional qualities.
- Can you describe an interdisciplinary project you've worked on?
Director of Development
I have to admit that I share some responsibility for the frustrating experience I had during the job application process with Community Health Network (CHN). A year ago, I interviewed for the same position and was ghosted afterward, never receiving any updates or feedback. Despite this, I decided to apply again when I saw the position reposted. Unfortunately, the second interview was equally disappointing. The hiring manager seemed unprepared and evasive when I asked her why the position was reposted, and the CEO and strategists appeared to be more interested in promoting themselves and the organization rather than assessing my qualifications. Moreover, they questioned my ability to perform in the role due to my educational background, despite my extensive experience in major gift fundraising. After they contacted my references, I heard nothing back – no response, no feedback, just complete radio silence. It was a discouraging and mystifying experience.
- How did you find out about Community Healthcare Network?
Health Educator
I applied for this job back in December 2017. Then in March 2018, I got an email to schedule a phone interview. The first interview was a phone call with the Health Education Director. After that, I had a second interview with both the Health Education Director and the Chief of Staff. The last interview was with the Health Education Director and the Center Administrator for the clinic where I'd be working.
- Can you discuss your resume experience and its relevance to this position?
- How would you handle a situation where a patient asks a question you don't have the answer to?
- What is your knowledge of various birth control methods?
Call Center Specialist
I received a call about a month after applying. The person who called was very pleasant and discussed all the job details, including pay and benefits. They then set up an interview with the Call Center Supervisor. The interview was with two of my potential peers and was quite laid-back. They asked mostly about my availability and customer service experience. I got an offer the very next day.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What makes you a good candidate for this position?
- Describe your approach to managing a frustrated customer.
