Community Health Resources Interview Questions
& Process

So I interviewed for the Residential Counselor job at Community Health Resources. It was pretty good, I'd say. There were a bunch of interviews, and they were all done in a really professional way. The people interviewing me were nice, made me feel comfortable, and asked some smart questions that let me show what I can do. They kept me in the loop and got back to me quickly after each part. I felt like they treated me well.

I applied online and after a few emails, I got an interview scheduled for the next week. But then, my interview got canceled less than 72 business hours before it was supposed to happen because the job was already filled (the ad was only up for about 6 days). I'm guessing they had someone in mind already. So, I applied again for the same job at a different location. I had the interview, then a second interview, and they also called some of my references. It's been about a week since they called my references, and I'm still waiting to hear back.

I got contacted about 2 weeks after I applied. First, I had a phone interview with someone from HR. Then, they had me talk to the Program Director in person. The interview was pretty short and simple, but they did make me fill out a super long application form, which I guess is normal for this field with all the background checks and stuff. After about a week of silence, I followed up with HR and they said they were still deciding. A few days later, they offered me the job, and I took it.

I interviewed at the location where I would be working which was great, because I could sort of hear the youth screaming and swearing in the back ground which I think was important for a taste of the environment. The interviewer was professional and engaging, and I really liked him off the bat. He asked great questions and we had a lot of dialogue/discussion rather than question/answer style.
