First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CommunicateHealth.
Communication Associate
I applied for this Communication Associate job online. Then I got an email asking for a phone screening. I accepted the request and they called me a week later for the screening. The phone call was about 15 minutes long. Everyone I talked to was friendly.
- Could you describe a situation where you had to adapt your communication for an audience you didn't know well?
Project Manager
So first I had a chat with a recruiter, then I talked to the head of HR on the phone. After that, there was this project I had to do, like a skills assessment thing, and the team looked at it. Lastly, I had a group interview with some of the leaders.
- Can you describe your past work experience and how it applies to this position?
- What is your experience with the various stages of a product development lifecycle?
Content Strategist
Applied in late August 2021 via the company website. Completed 2 interview rounds and a writing assignment. Two days after applying, got an email for a phone interview with a staff member, which happened a few days later. Interview 1 was short (under 20 mins) and covered my interest in the role/company, content creation skills, and availability. They asked about salary, saying I had to ask someone else, but later followed up with the range. A week later, I was told the hiring committee wanted to proceed. I was given a writing assignment with 4 days to complete it, unpaid. I submitted it on the deadline day. No confirmation of receipt until 10 days later. Then, I was invited for another interview via Zoom with 3 staff members. The interview focused on my company interest, how I approached the writing assignment, value alignment, and my questions. I was told I'd hear back in a week or could reach out. I heard nothing a week later, so I followed up via email on a Friday morning at the end of September. Still haven't heard back. Closure is expected after engaging with the company and its staff.
- Why this company?
- What are your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
Health Communication Associate
It started with a phone interview, followed by a writing test. The part I didn't like was the final in-person interview. Even though they knew I lived about 1.5 hours away from the office, they still wanted me to come in for a meeting with two people who weren't even based in the Massachusetts office. I ended up driving over 3 hours just to interview with them over Zoom. The whole interview felt more like a vibe check than a real interview; I only got asked one question about my actual skills. They also asked me to bring in work samples, but they never looked at them, maybe because the interviewers weren't physically there, or maybe they just weren't interested.
- Can you tell me about how you organize things?
- How would you describe your approach to work?
- Tell me about your experience with social media.
